CJ Dropshipping Review 2026: USA Warehouses, Fees, Alternatives

Table of Contents
cj dropshipping review

CJ Dropshipping is a feature-rich dropshipping platform that provides complete infrastructure including sourcing, warehousing, custom packaging, POD, fulfillment, and suppliers. It is still one of the better dropshipping tools in 2026 for many good reasons. However, dwindling profits, increasing shipping costs, tariffs and other global events have completely shaken the dropshipping market.

In this blog, I have reviewed CJ Dropshipping, its features, reliability, and whether it is a profitable dropshipping platform in 2026. Many famous platforms like DSers, Doba, etc. have lost their value due to increasing tariffs, and higher sourcing rates that diminish profits. CJ Dropshipping has a somewhat similar story.

The Direct Verdict: Is CJ Dropshipping Legit and Worth It?

CJ Dropshipping dashboard

Yes, CJ Dropshipping is legit and has a well developed sourcing, warehousing, and delivery infrastructure aimed at minimizing operational hassle for dropshippers. I would highly rate its custom sourcing, private inventory, branding, and warehousing features. CJ manages its own warehouses around the world to help dropshippers minimize delivery times, and costs.

What I love about CJ Dropshipping is that it’s not just ‘pick a product and relist it as a higher price’ type platform. CJ lets you pre-order inventory, store it in their own warehouses, manage delivery partners of your choice, integrate multiple ecommerce storefronts, and add your own custom branding to packages. It is perhaps one of the most complete dropshipping platforms.

What Is CJ Dropshipping and How Does It Work in the USA?

CJ Dropshipping is a Chinese platform that connects suppliers, shipping companies, warehousing, printing and POD services, and dropshippers together. Their CJ Dropshipping platform lets dropshippers find and source products, suppliers, warehouses, and shipping operators to kickstart their ecommerce business.

The typical workflow looks like this:

  • Find a product
  • Connect your Shopify/eBay store
  • Push product to your store, if you get an order it gets synced to CJ,
  • You can manually manage your orders in CJ, pay for them and CJ handles the rest

CJ has warehouses in the US, China, Germany, Thailand, Indonesia and partner warehouses in other countries. Like other dropshipping tools, when an order is placed, CJ automatically updates and syncs tracking info to your store so your customer can track the product.

Supported Integrations By CJ

Supported Integrations By CJ

Out of all dropshipping platforms I have ever tested, CJ Dropshipping has the most number of integrations. Shopify, WooCommerce, TikTok Shop, Temu, eBay, AliExpress, you name it. Although most of these platforms don’t have a large customer base, having so many integrations shows how big CJ Dropshipping is.

CJ Dropshipping Automation Features

CJ Dropshipping Automation Features

Once your store is connected and products are mapped, CJ can automate some parts of your order management workflow. All new, paid, unshipped orders from your ecommerce storefront are synced to CJ Dashboard. You have to manually pay, select shipping type, etc and place an order to the supplier. CJ handles the delivery and updates your tracking info back to the store so customers can track their order.

CJ currently accepts CJ Wallet, PayPal, credit/debit cards, Payoneer, wire transfer, WeChat Pay, Klarna, iDEAL, and Pix. CJ is the middleman so you pay them instead of the seller. CJ pays to delivery, supplier, and other vendors involved.

CJ’s automation isn’t super advanced. It is based on how well connected and mapped your product inventory is. Basic tracking sync and order sync are features that every basic dropshipping tool offers. For a tool that positions itself as an all-in-one platform for scalable businesses, I would have wanted end-to-end automation to minimise operational burden on my end.

Sourcing Products Through CJ Dropshipping

Sourcing Products Through CJ Dropshipping

CJ’s sourcing feature is a very unique and interesting offering. Suppose I find a product in 1688 or AliExpress but don’t see it in CJ’s own catalogue. I can submit a sourcing request to CJ and they can look for a supplier, source product and list it on their platform. Your subscription plan decides your sourcing request limit. This feature gives you more flexibility than a small closed directory of suppliers who might have high rates.

CJ Dropshipping Warehouses & Shipping Time

CJ Dropshipping Warehouses & Shipping Time

CJ Dropshipping has high delivery times. When you’re delivering to customers in USA, things get even harder for dropshippers. CJ announced that locally produced products available in their CJ Warehouse would have a delivery time of 3-6 days which is competitive enough. CJ has also opened major US warehouse operations in New Jersey and California to cover both east and west of the USA.

However, products must be locally stocked. If you source from any other country, you’re stuck with CJ’s own delivery vendors, and wait times of 15-30 days which don’t make sense for any ecommerce business.

If you’re selling in the USA, you must set a filter for US suppliers first (there are very few, and CJ’s warehouses mostly stock products from China). You might need to pre-order some stock to a USA warehouse from China to reduce shipping times but that requires working capital, and more management.

CJ’s POD & Custom Branding Features

CJ’s POD & Custom Branding Features

I would give CJ a clear advantage over other dropshipping platforms because it supports custom packaging including labels, logos, and print on demand products. However, CJ’s custom packaging isn’t just about replacing a barcode or name, you have to design and pay for your own shipping packages, store them in CJ’s warehouse before qualifying orders can be shipped with it.

CJ allows external quality inspection and third-party suppliers to check product quality, and pick it up from their warehouses. If some products are already stocked in a CJ warehouse, you can also make a shipping company of your choice pick it up and deliver it to the customer.

CJ Dropshipping Pricing and Fee Breakdown

CJ Dropshipping is free to use. Not a trial, not a useless free plan. Their $0 base plan is actually pretty usable for basic fulfillment workflow. Their paid plans mostly buy you additional sourcing requests, access to VIP products, and other membership perks like priority support, etc.

Listing limits and integrations are unlimited on all plans. That’s because CJ’s real business model isn’t subscriptions, it’s charging their commission in each sale, delivery, warehousing, and POD.

Plan Current Monthly Price Sourcing Requests VIP Products Recommended Products Listings Store Connections
Free $0 5/day Unlimited Unlimited
Plus $15.99 +10/day 5 Unlimited Unlimited
Prime $19.99 +20/day 10 15 Unlimited Unlimited
Advanced $59.99 +50/day 20 25 Unlimited Unlimited

The only good reason to upgrade your plan is VIP products and recommended products. Depending on which products are hot selling, or available in all warehouses, CJ recommends their customers VIP products that can yield better profits. Recommended products are additional opportunities CJ shows you based on what its sales data suggests.

CJ explicitly advertises unlimited product listing and unlimited store authorization across all four tiers. CJ describes product listing and order synchronization as general platform services that it does not charge for separately. That makes the Free plan the sensible starting point for most beginners.

The true cost of using CJ Dropshipping is product cost + shipping + warehousing + selling channel costs. Don’t just look at CJ’s subscriptions and be happy, the real cost lies in vendor lock-in with delivery services, warehousing fees for products that are not being sold fast enough, and with customizations or custom packaging.

CJ Dropshipping Reviews: What Do Real Sellers Say?

CJ Dropshipping has over 13k reviews on Trustpilot, the highest I’ve seen on any dropshipping platform. However, TrustPilot has a warning sign on CJ’s listing, accusing the platform of bombarding fake reviews to increase reputation. There are a number of similar looking reviews that look like bots.

CJ Dropshipping Reviews

The platform is legit, their marketing team might have fumbled, trying to create fake hype about the platform. Back in Covid-19 days, I remember CJ Dropshipping spending a lot on influencer marketing. Their TrustPilot technique might have backfired.

Genuinely positive reviews talk about really helpful customer support, and dedicated agents and account managers that you can hire from CJ. These account managers help you with listing, sourcing, and overall account management.

The Frustrating Part About Using CJ Dropshipping

After reading through negative TrustPilot reviews and Reddit discussions, I’ve realized that CJ Dropshipping has the same problem as many other Chinese counterparts: Credibility and responsibility.

European or American platforms provide better services because they’re bound by law to do so. False claims mean lawsuits and bad reputation. The Chinese market is different because of different laws and work culture.

Dropshippers report that their advertised shipping times are inaccurate, product stock quantity is lower than what’s on the platform, and product quality is very different from the one advertised. Even a few bad experiences are enough to negatively affect your ecommerce store’s reputation and many people think it’s too big a risk to take. This is where CJ loses customers.

This is why I recommend ordering your own sample before spending a huge amount of money on ads and storefront not because CJ is not legit, but it’s your reputation that’s on the line. Customers don’t care about suppliers or agents, they care that you under delivered.

Best CJ Dropshipping Alternatives for US and UK Sellers

If you’re looking for a CJ Dropshipping alternative for US, UK or EU markets, here is my take.

1. Closed Supplier Directories & Agent Platforms

Platforms like Spocket and Zendrop are closer to CJ Dropshipping but have a curated list of suppliers based in the US, UK, and EU. Using these platforms mean better product quality, and more importantly, faster delivery times. You pay less for shipping since products are shipped from closeby warehouses.

The only disadvantage of using these curated supplier directories is the profit margins. Spocket and Zendrop have lower profit margins. Sometimes, theri wholesale prices are very close to retail ones which make profitability harder.

2. Open-Marketplace Automation: The Easync.io Advantage

The other approach is to move away from supplier directories and source products from open marketplaces like Walmart, Amazon, and AliExpress. If you’re shipping in the US, UK or EU, sourcing cheap products from Amazon and Walmart is quicker and more convenient.

Although finding profit margins on Amazon or Walmart are slightly more technical, this approach is best for beginners, and experts alike. The best tool in this approach is Easync. It automates your complete dropshipping workflow end-to-end from auto-product sync, auto-order sync, order placement, etc. All you do is setup Easync, and import products to your storefront like Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay, etc. and everything gets taken care of by Easync.

This gives sellers much more sourcing flexibility. I can compare different suppliers, shipping options, product prices, and availability instead of depending on one agent’s inventory.

CJ Dropshipping vs Easync: Head-to-Head Comparison

CJ Dropshipping and Easync are very different tools that solve dropshipping problems in different ways. CJ is a company that helps with sourcing, fulfillment, and custom packaging. The platform is good but suppliers can bring your business down. Easync on the other hand is an automation tool that takes the burden off your shoulders, automatically reprices products, auto-places orders, sync tracking info, etc.

Feature / Metric CJ Dropshipping Easync
Core Model Sourcing agent, supplier catalog, warehouses and fulfillment Automated dropshipping software and open-market sourcing
Primary Sourcing CJ catalog + custom sourcing requests Amazon, Walmart, AliExpress
Automatic Orders Manually approve all pending orders 200 automatic orders/month on Basic plan
Repricing No automatic repricing. If the supplier changes price, you have to manually adjust Dedicated automated repricing is a core product feature
Order Fulfillment CJ warehouse/agent handles connected CJ orders Automatic ordering; FBE available for supported workflows
Tracking Tracking synchronization after CJ fulfillment Instant tracking and tracking conversion tools included
US/UK Amazon FBE Not applicable FBE specifically supports Amazon US and Amazon UK sourcing
Multi-Store Management Unlimited store authorization advertised in CJ’s tires Multiple-store management included in Easync plans
Best For Branded, customized, warehouse-backed dropshipping Catalog-scale automation and repetitive-operation reduction

Why Easync.io Beats CJ Dropshipping for Scaling US/UK Stores

Easync is a stronger option for experts when your focus shifts from sourcing to speed and margin control. True dropshippers never stick to these curated supplier networks because they have less profits, and everyone else is selling the same products.

Once you start sourcing products from your own suppliers, or open marketplaces like Amazon, Walmart, AliExpress, automating order requests, payments, and tracking IDs become more important. This is what Easync is designed for.

The biggest advantage is sourcing flexibility. Instead of depending on CJ warehouse stock or China-based fulfillment, Easync can source from marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart, giving sellers access to much faster domestic delivery options where available. Amazon delivery network means faster delivery, easier refunds and claims.

Easync also protects your profit margins by checking prices and stock quantity every 15 mins and updates in your Shopify store so your margins can be protected and no order can be placed for out of stock products.

With FBE (Fulfillment by Easync) feature, order purchasing, tracking amd other parts become automated. Easync does not wait for manual confirmation if you don’t want it. You can set order fulfillment to automatic.

Frequently Asked Questions About CJ Dropshipping

Is CJ Dropshipping good for USA sellers?

Yes, but only if you choose products already available in CJ’s USA warehouses. If the product is domestically available, it can be shipped within 3-6 days. However, if it is not available, or runs out of stock later on, there is a huge wait, and cost to get it shipped from Chinese warehouses.

Does CJ Dropshipping have monthly fees?

CJ Dropshipping has subscrip[tion plans but you don’t need one to get started. CJ’s free tier is enough to source products but you are locked to CJ’s own suppliers, delivery vendors, packaging vendors, etc.

How long does CJ Dropshipping take to ship to the USA?

For products already held in a CJ US warehouse, it takes around 3-7 days to deliver to customers. China-origin products can take 10-30 days depending on type of shipping. Always check the exact SKU of the product and which warehouse it is in before placing any order.

Does CJ Dropshipping automatically fulfill orders?

No, CJ Dropshipping does not automatically fulfill orders. You have to manually approve and pay for each order so it can start getting processed.

Does CJ Dropshipping automatically update prices?

CJ Dropshipping’s auto-pricing update is limited and mostly manual. If a supplier changes price, CJ does not automatically update it to your storefront. The update has to be made manually so you can’t fully automate CJ’s workflow.

What is the best CJ Dropshipping alternative?

Easync is the best alternative in terms of supplier network, faster delivery, better product quality, and automation. Easync automatically reprices your product based on market changes, protect margins, auto-fulfill orders through FBE feature, etc. Spocket and Zendrop are other alternatives worth considering but they don’t have automation features like Easync.

My Final Verdict

CJ Dropshipping is still a good choice for sellers who need custom sourcing, branding, or warehousing in one platform. However, if you prioritize faster delivery, Easync’s fulfillment through Amazon, Walmart, etc. can be much faster. You won’t get as high profit margins as Chinese suppliers but you get better brand reputation, faster delivery, better product quality and easy refund processes. If you’re dropshipping in the US or UK, Easync is a much better choice.
